What
NIPC Does for You
NIPC promotes the economic vitality and political interests of
independent pharmacists. We are a member-run 501(c)(6) trade association
that supports the entrepreneurial practice of independent pharmacy
within an ever-changing and highly competitive healthcare industry.
NIPC
is dedicated to representing, advancing and protecting the profession
of independent pharmacy. We are led by a Board of Directors comprised
of practicing independents who have volunteered to monitor the
economic and political environment that affects your store and
your ability to care for your patients and community.
Political
Power: Your Sphere of Influence
As members one of the most trusted professions in America today,
independent pharmacists enjoy the respect and confidence of their
communities. Patients seek your health care counsel and savor
your personal attention and relationship. NIPC is working to help
elected officials understand and appreciate independent pharmacy;
both as a valuable health care provider and as an influential
political figure. Together, we must build relationships with elected
officials at the state and federal level. As you build relationships
with your elected officials, they will solicit your professional
recommendation on pharmacy-related issues more readily. Remember:
you touch hundreds of voters’ lives every day. Your voice
matters in the political process and NIPC membership makes for
a formidable team.
Pharmacy
Issues
Key issues for the NIPC’s members include PBM practices,
fair reimbursement methodologies, disease and medication management
strategies, enhancing partnerships with other state and national
pharmacy organizations with similar goals, new technologies and
new market opportunities for independent practitioners.
